New Overwatch Map Rialto Is Now Live In New Update On PC, PS4, And Xbox One

Here's what's new with the latest update for Overwatch.

Blizzard has released the latest update for Overwatch, and it brings with it a substantial piece of new content. After its run on the PTR, Blizzard has released the game's next map, Rialto, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The new update comes just days after the launch of Competitive Play Season 10 in Overwatch. Despite this, it won't be available in Competitive Play until some unspecified later date. Blizzard says this is meant to "provide the community with plenty of time to learn how to play with the new map."
Provided you're playing in other modes, you can now dive into Rialto. Even if you don't dabble in the PTR, it might be familiar to you--a modified version of it was also used for the recent Retribution PvE mode. In its standard format, Rialto is an Escort map. It's set in Venice, Italy, albeit with some Overwatch twists--like the nefarious-looking secret chamber pictured in the images below.
Rialto comes as part of a broader update that also makes changes to a number of characters, as detailed in the patch notes. Most notably, it reworks Hanzo pretty significantly, implementing the changes seen on the PTR. His weapon has seen a tweak, while he gains two abilities and loses his old Scatter Arrow one, which was a contentious part of his kit.
"The goal of these Hanzo changes is to allow him to have new options and maintain his high damage output, while removing the frustration of fighting against the old Scatter Arrow," Blizzard explained. "Hanzo is now much more mobile with his new Lunge ability, and with the combination of the bow projectile speed increase and the new Storm Arrows ability he can now deal his high damage more consistently than ever before."
